More Stupidity Than I Can Possibly Fathom
For the life of me I cannot understand humanity. I have spent the better part of a decade studying ourselves; yet, our capacity for human stupidity continually blows me away.
On the war front, Hamas is still firing rockets at Israeli civilians. Still firing rockets. At Israeli civilians. STILL FIRING ROCKETS AT ISRAELI CIVILIANS. And still holding dozens of hostages in brutally inhumane conditions. Where is the condemnation of the world for these blatant war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed by genocidal terrorists? Where is the demand for the release of the hostages? Anyone? Bueller? Oh wait, the world is too busy siding WITH THE TERRORISTS.
Senator Bernie Sanders (of Vermont notoriety) in his infinite wisdom has sided repeatedly with the genocidal fascists of the Islamic Republic of Iran and their many terrorist proxies, who would sooner see him and his entire people exterminated than witness a woman unveiled in the streets of Tehran. This is also known as ‘suicide’, or ‘cutting off your nose to spite your face’. He is as utterly delusional as his political cousin and “comrade” Noam Chomsky. It took Michel Foucault to make ol’ chompers look reasonable in comparison.
I will never forgive my nineteen-year-old self for voting for someone as blinded by Cold War political ideology as ‘the Bern’. NATO and NATO-aligned democratic countries are not the enemy, you dolt. How is your position in effect any different from the “MAGA isolationists” you claim to oppose? ‘Horseshoe theory’ is afoot.
As Orwell put it in so many words, (selective) pacifism is inherently pro-fascist. “Progressives” may have helped start the Iranian Revolution, but they sure as hell didn’t finish it. Why would you side with ‘King Terrorist’ Khamenei against Humanity? Just why?
You cannot be a progressive without supporting Israel. It is a contradiction in terms. Either you side with authoritarian, genocidal, religious fundamentalist, regressive-to-the-stone-age fascists in the Islamic Republic; or, you side with the people of the only Jewish nation as they fight against that evil. This is the dichotomy presented, and God help you if you fail it. You cannot escape it even with all the rhetorical tricks at your disposal. Progress is on the side of the people of Israel, who have created the only functioning democracy in the Middle East. A multicultural melting pot and a place of true equality in a region where tyranny, intolerance, injustice, and inequality rule.
On that note, I must once again chastise the disgrace to the cheesehead state that is Tammy Baldwin. The gall of this terrorist, fascist sympathizer to vote ‘present’ on a motion to “BDS” the Jewish state—AGAIN. Screw you, Tammy. You do not represent the values I grew up with in this state, like not being an antisemite. You are the ‘Quisling’ of Wisconsin; and as someone of Norwegian heritage, I understand the magnitude of that insult. You may as well have waved a swastika flag along with the neo-Nazis in their march on Madison. Hope those blood rials were worth selling your soul for, Ephialtes. If the Democratic Party is to survive the next decade, Jew haters must be vivisected out of it. All of them.
Honestly, how dumb do you have to be to side with the weakest, softest-looking genocidal dictator in history? Khamenei’s very essence exudes impotence. Almost every Iranian woman I know of could beat the daylights out of you, bozo. Frankly, your “morality police” should be coming after you for not veiling up in public. It disgraces the memory of Mahsa Amini and all the heroic Iranian women standing up to your fascist regime to call you a woman; but the one thing we know for certain is that you definitely ain’t a man.
By the way, how sturdy is the civil infrastructure in Tehran? Could it hold, say, a man’s body weight hung upside-down by the ankles? Know any good drainage pipes to hide in when the mob comes calling (and it will come)? Or are you more of a classic “going out the bunker way” kind of fascist dictator? Sic semper tyrannis, Khamenei—et vae victis.
To top off the stupidity of the past week, the US economy is now in free fall. I called it, folks: tariffs are just a bad idea. This isn’t the 17th century. Adam Smith killed mercantilism around the time of the birth of America. Free trade is the answer. It is not the enemy. We became the richest nation in world history through open trade, and now we may crater for abandoning it. The largest self-inflicted economic wound maybe ever. What a time to be alive.
But I don’t care for the domestic or really economics for that matter; frankly, it’s all just too boring. This too shall pass. I’m smart enough to get by hard times. I’ll eat rice and gruel if I must to continue my work of restoring sanity to planet Earth. The world will move on without America, and that’s fine. Don’t forget you have allies here that want a better world for all of Humanity.
