Horseshoe Theory Strikes Again
Tucker, Tucker, Tucker. Just when I thought you couldn’t possibly sink any lower, you go and grab a shovel. Why does everyone insist on disgracing themselves by wearing the ugliest attire of antisemitism and then head-to-floor bowing before ‘King Terrorist Khamenei’? To not only side with the Islamic Republic against Israel, but to also explicitly side with them against America…
I am, of course, talking about the infamous Israel hater and enemy of Humanity, Tucker Carlson. If you’re of the right-wing (I really hate that terminology—let’s use ‘conservative’ as a catch-all) persuasion, you may be tempted to stop reading here, and maybe even unsubscribe. After all, I just insulted one of your own, supposedly. But I urge you to read on. If you’re a regular reader of this newsletter, Tucker Carlson is no friend of yours; and he’s certainly no friend of the Jewish people. I spent last week trashing Senate Democrats who sided with Iran, and it would be out of character for me to not point out the same moral failings among the conservative side.
Last week (actually just after the publication of this newsletter—every. Time.), this little muppet that has never found a decent barber in his life decided to share his opinion with the world. This is always a bad idea in Tucker’s case, but particularly when it comes to Xitter—it’s best not to. His Xeet coincided with the visit of Bibi Netanyahu to these United States, almost completely having to do with the tariff fiasco. But that’s a whole other thing.
What Tucker had to say is so utterly bereft of reason and intelligence that I actually feel bad for subjecting you all to it. Essentially, he got really, really upset that both Bibi and Trump correctly recognize the Islamic Republic of Iran to be the greatest threat to world peace and security on the planet. He had some choice words to say here, and I really must applaud him for committing to this spirit of bipartisanship and coming together with the worst dredges of the “progressive” side to support Iran and Iranian-sponsored global terrorism. This is what Tucker had to say on April 7th:
“Whatever you think of tariffs, it’s clear that now is the worst possible time for the United States to participate in a military strike on Iran. We can’t afford it. Thousands of Americans would die. We’d lose the war that follows. Nothing would be more destructive to our country. And yet we’re closer than ever, thanks to unrelenting pressure from neocons. This is suicidal. Anyone advocating for conflict with Iran is not an ally of the United States, but an enemy.”
Listen to this clown. This absolute fool. Buddy, we obliterated Iran’s naval capacity in a single day and suffered two casualties. Operation Praying Mantis. Their nuclear weapons testing literally ate itself courtesy of Stuxnet. If you think we need a boots-on-the-ground invasion to topple the Khamenei regime, you are so deluded it physically hurts me. A few well-placed long-distance strikes could ruin their entire economy. It would do a hell of a lot more than sanctions, I can tell you that much. And he thinks NOTHING CAN BE MORE DESTRUCTIVE TO OUR COUNTRY? Folks: this is what it looks like to forget 9/11.
Maybe Tucker is smart enough to realize he’s being intentionally dense. The IRGC’s reach is fractured with the fall of Assad and the severe deterioration of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, etc. Iran can’t hit the broad side of a barn if that barn happens to be within the Iron Dome’s protection (and affiliated defense systems), and they absolutely do not have the capacity to hit America. So either Tucker is the biggest drama queen to also side with terrorists, or: he’s just dog-whistling to show what team he’s on.
We already knew Tucker was Putin’s lackey and thereby indirectly supported Khamenei’s regime; after all, it is they who supply Putin with the ‘Shahed’ drones he uses to regularly terrorize the skies of Ukraine (yet another reason why a strategic partnership between Israel and Ukraine is a win-win; Israelis shoot those down like fish in a barrel). But to outright side with the Islamic Republic against America is…actually unbelievable. Like I wouldn’t believe it if he didn’t write and share it himself for the world to see. It’s still up as of this writing, you can go and see for yourself. Coincidentally, the top comment under Tucker’s post is from notorious white nationalist Nick Fuentes; but I’m sure that’s got nothing to do with the fact that Bibi is Je—yep okay he accused the “Jewish fifth column” of controlling the US great job Tucker giving a platform and ammunition to some of the worst people on Earth.
But of course, this isn’t the first time Tucker has said or done questionable things concerning the Jewish state and/or people. Him and 2024 Antisemite of the Year Candace Owens really led the charge of new-age “just asking questions”-style antisemitism we’ve seen take off among the alt-right and alt-left alike (although to be fair, the alt-left is usually more direct about it). It’s almost like ‘left-wing’ and ‘right-wing’ is meaningless terminology when the extremes of the political spectrum resemble each other more closely than they do the center; like it’s a horseshoe or something. The farther “left” you go, the more like the “right” you become (and vice versa); and it all converges on hatred for the most convenient of scapegoats: the Jewish people.
My flippancy aside, this is extremely worrying for the long-term fight against antisemitism. Tucker and Candace are not fringe voices in conservative circles; in fact, they are some of the largest in the world, and still growing to my knowledge. When the supposed “conservative comrades” of Ben Shapiro and Douglas Murray are going after them and tearing them down for the simple fact that they stand with Israel, we have a serious problem on our hands. Existential-level, even.
This is how it happened in my own life experience, just politically mirrored. Almost every space, community, and movement that labels itself “progressive” has shut its doors to me. I support the program. I’m with the cause of progress, liberalism, democracy, and human freedom. I am a futurist, after all. But because I believe that diversity and equality includes Jews, I must necessarily be spat on, harassed, hated, and ostracized by my peers. I now have nowhere in the entire world where I politically belong. I voted for Kamala because I genuinely believed her to be the better choice, but it was all for nothing. The antisemitism from so-called “progressives” lost us this past election, and it’s not looking like any critical reflection was done by “leadership” anywhere. Vae victis.
The conservative side of the aisle must not lose this fight too. You must ostracize antisemites before they ostracize you. There is no alternative. Antisemites WILL come after you. They will sideline moderate voices and intimidate anyone that doesn’t agree into silence. Though you may believe your peers will stand up for you, trust me: they won’t. When the pressure is on, most people will keep their heads down. It’s just human nature. Condemn Tucker and Candace and Thomas Massie and Rand “Dad’s Biggest Regret” Paul and all the rest. Give them the boot now, before you cannot anymore.
In a rare win for sanity, we are apparently getting a temporary reprieve from most of the tariff madness of the past two weeks. The ‘Pax Americana’ and global economy teetering on the edge—but not dead yet. I just have one request for the economic powers-that-be: don’t starve me, please. True, gas is rising and I can’t find another job to save my life; but at least my creditors are still making money.
Until next week, stay safe. Stay sane. Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱
